Does baby grinding teeth make much damage?

As a parent, it is easy to find that your baby may be getting used to the feeling of clenching their little teeth. It is common that the grinding teeth happens among babies who just have their first or second teeth, almost beginning at about six months old.

Parents can hear their baby grinding teeth in the other room as the little kids clench up like a storm. For the little baby is too weak, their red soft tissues in the nose and mouth are sensitive to the outside world objects just like the air or the food allergens. These tissues may swell after they contact with the allergens. The most possible cause of baby tooth grinding is nasal allergies. The Eustachian tube is located offside of the nose. This tube is linked with the nose, so if the baby has been exposed to the allergens the Eustachian tube may easily swell. In that way, if the teeth are closed together tight while swallowing or grinding teeth, the Eustachian tube may open. When the Eustachian tube opens, the red soft tissue is exposed to the allergens and the problem will happen to the children’s health. And the baby grinding teeth may cause the infections to the ear along with the frequent throat infections, even strep throat.

Does the grinding teeth make much damage to the baby’s health? We can tell you that grinding teeth sounds worse than it is in most cases. It is very likely that your lovely baby will outgrow the habit very soon and will not do any damage to his teeth. Although it is not happy to endure the noise caused by your baby, you should have to wait until your baby grows out of the habit of grinding teeth.
