Does Melatonin Can Treat Jet Lag?

This is good news for you who do not ever dwell in the office and always make the trip across the continent. Melatonin was effective enough to be the solution when you have jet lag problems.

Jet lag occurs due to long distance travel through time limits, and occurs in a short time. This will disrupt the body's circadian rhythms. Circadian rhythm takes 1 day to adapt to traverse each time zone. In other words 5 hours time difference would require an average of 5 days of adjustment. Further investigation of the flight crew, showed that the use of Melatonin 5 mg for 5 days after arrival, will accelerate the jet lag disorder, mood and sleep.

The use of 1 mg Melatonin has a great effect on a chronic sleep disorder. The use of Melatonin does not give a hangover effect (feeling of discomfort / drift) in the morning when you wake up. Hang over often occur with luminal tablets in the evening before.

Melatonin not only affects the rhythm of sleep but also affects the type and quality of sleep that we experience. Enough sleep (7-8 hours) will make the body become fit again like a car battery that has been charged overnight, become more fresh.

Please note, you also have to keep adjusting to not drink alcohol and still consume enough fluids, eat regularly and sleep enough and continue to move in during the day to be more familiar with local time.

So, do not be afraid of experiencing jet lag. After understanding what it was jet lag, you can also rely on melatonin, when really needed and experiencing with jet lag.
