Recognize pollen allergy symptoms

Allergen hypersensitivity triggered because of to tiny particles named pollens developed by crops are termed as pollen allergies. This is generally referred to as 'hay fever' and occurs when the pollen from facilities travels by way of oxygen and reaches the nasal passage of humans. Vegetation reproduce by transferring pollen they produce to one more plant of the very same species. In most instances, insects such as butterflies support in pollination; however, in scenarios in which the pollen is light in fat, they travel by means of oxygen to reach their destination. On the way, they enter the nasal passage of human leading to allergic reaction and give rise to pollen allergy symptoms.

Although all crops create pollen, not all of them cause allergic reactions. Some factories don't contribute to hay fever given that they self pollinate; which indicates, the pollen made by these facilities are utilized to fertilize themselves. Pollen produced by selected vegetation is heavy and can't travel by oxygen. These vegetation use insects to transfer pollens. Factories which develop light excess weight pollens are the primary contributors to pollen allergic reactions because the pollen travels through oxygen.

The ragweed plant is the main bring about of pollen allergic reactions. The plant produces dry pollen which is extremely little and can be carried by wind currents. In addition to this plant, there are other vegetation like redroot pigweed, English plantain, Russian thistle, lamb's quarters and sagebrush that lead to pollen allergy symptoms. Trees like mountain cedar, elm, box elder, pecan, ash and oak are also identified to generate allergenic pollen. A handful of varieties of grass that create allergenic pollen are Kentucky bluegrass, Bermuda grass, redtop grass, Johnson grass, orchard grass and timothy grass.

Recognition of the symptoms associated with pollen hypersensitivity aids you avail treatment on time. The most typical symptom is excessive sneezing. This is followed by itching nose, eyes and even throat irritation. If not taken care of at the onset, it can lead to allergic shiners, watering eyes and finally conjunctivitis. It is the chemical response that takes location among the pollen and the mucous membrane of the nose that causes this allergy. There are quite a few skin tests and blood tests that are performed to confirm pollen allergy.

Though allergic reactions prompted due to animals, food and drugs can be avoided very easily, it is not an easy job to evade pollen allergen hypersensitivity. You can only test remaining indoors; on the other hand, this has verified to be futile for a couple of folks. It is finest to prevent stepping out in the course of periods wherever the pollen count in the oxygen is great. The pollen count refers to the measure of the pollen present in oxygen. The pollen count is great throughout the early component of the day and on days when the weather is breezy and dry. The lowest pollen count is observed on chilly wintry days.

As soon as you are diagnosed with hay fever, you can choose from a single of the 3 forms of therapies offered. The three solutions strategies you can opt for from are avoidance, medication and immunotherapy. Not availing remedy on time can lead to specific complications which take additional time and money to be taken care of.

Corn allergy symptoms

Corn is a composition which can be found in many types of food. Corn allergy symptoms vary from person to person.

Some people may have shown an allergic reaction just by the smell of popcorn, while others will be more resistant and does not directly indicate a serious reaction.

The best way to tell if someone has an allergy to corn is to conduct medical tests.

Severe corn allergy sufferers can experience anaphylactic shock (anaphylactic shock). Other symptoms may also include obesity, inflammation, to the sinus.

Inflammation is one of the most common symptom. Someone with corn allergies may not realize that their bodies have since been used to inflammation through the same thing.

If the body feels when you wake up tired, having pain in the knee, ankle swelling or itching of the body, it could be an individual suffering from allergic to corn.

Feeling tired after eating corn can be so severe that the patient should be rested.

If it were not for corn, there may be a kind of allergy or other medical condition that needs immediate attention. The most appropriate step is to visit the doctor to find out the real cause.

Allergic to corn will generally worsen with age. Many who have corn allergies diagnosed with other diseases.

Stomach problems are very common among those who have corn allergies. These problems include Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), or other intestinal diseases.

Your doctor may advise patients to eat more fiber. After eating corn, abdominal bloating usually be followed with excessive belching.

In the extreme cases, patients allergic to corn may be brought to the emergency room because of severe vomiting, constipation, or diarrhea.

Chronic sinus also be another sign of allergies. Complaints include shortness of breath, runny nose, and watery eyes.

Allergic to corn also may show symptoms such as insulin resistance and pre-diabetes. This makes anyone think he was suffering from pre-diabetes when complaints are actually derived from corn allergy.

It is safest for people with corn allergies is to avoid all kinds of corn and its derivative products. These include corn syrup, corn flour, and others.

Egg allergy symptoms, causes and treatment

Egg allergy is often experienced by children. To avoid allergic to eggs are advised not to eat eggs. But now researchers have found a surefire way to cope with allergies to egg, by providing white egg in the increased dose.

Hopkins Children's study conducted in the U.S. found that children who eat eggs with a higher dose of protein was able to overcome the experienced egg allergies.

The invention has been presented at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology on March 2, 2010 as reported by Indiavision, Wednesday (3/2).

Previous discoveries at Hopkins Children also showed the same approach. Discovery is known as oral immunotherapy, which has been successfully used to treat milk allergy in children.

Some children are allergic to milk in the study has managed to overcome their circumstances and much milder allergy symptoms after treatment.

Now researchers report very encouraging results in children allergic to eggs.

"As we see in patients with milk allergies before, oral immunotherapy for children allergic to eggs work the same way, but by training the immune system is slow to tolerate the allergens that cause allergic reactions," says Robert Wood, MD, director of Allergy & Immunology at Hopkins Children.

The researchers say preliminary results of this requires long-term monitoring of patients. They also warned that oral immunotherapy may be made only to a trained pediatric allergy.

In a study for 11 months to 55 children aged 5-18 years, researchers gave the egg whites with the increased dose to 40 patients during a food challenge held in a clinic under the supervision of a physician. While 15 children received placebo, foods such as egg whites, but do not contain egg protein.

At the end of the study, more than half the children who eat eggs (21 of 40 children) could tolerate 5 grams of egg without allergic reactions. In contrast, none of the children who eat eggs placebo able to tolerate eggs during the food challenge.

The researchers said the symptoms of mild to moderate that emerged from these egg allergy include itching and swelling of the mouth and throat.

As reported Kidshealth, egg food is actually good because they contain protein for body growth and brain development of children. When a person is allergic to eggs, so their immune system will overreact to the protein in eggs.

Any food made from eggs into the body's digestive system who are allergic to eggs would think that protein is harmful.

Then by the immune system responded by creating specific antibodies to fight the food that the body is considered dangerous. Antibody immunoglobulin E (IgE) will trigger the release of certain chemicals into the body, one of which is histamine.

Well, when people are allergic to eggs to eat foods that contain eggs, the immune system the body will release chemicals to protect the body. The release of these chemicals that affect the respiratory system, gastrointestinal tract, skin and cardiovascular system. This causes allergy symptoms such as shortness of breath, nausea, headache, abdominal pain and itching rashes.

Most people who allergic to egg protein in egg white, but some people can not tolerate the protein in egg yolk. Egg allergy usually arise when a toddler and grew serious when he reached five years.

Milk allergy symptoms, causes and treatment

Allergies to milk are the most common food allergies in children. In addition to regular cow's milk, goat's milk, sheep and water buffalo also can cause allergic reactions. And some children are allergic to cow's milk are also allergic to soy milk.

Milk allergy usually occurs a few minutes to several hours after consuming milk. Signs and symptoms of milk allergy vary from mild to severe and can occur shortness of breath, vomiting, itchy red spots on the skin and digestive problems. In rare cases, milk allergy can cause anaphylaxis, a severe life-threatening reaction.

Avoiding dairy products is the best way to treat allergies. Most children will have a milk allergy by age 3 years.

Symptoms:

Symptoms of milk allergy is different on each person and occur within a few minutes to several hours after ingesting milk.

Signs and symptoms of milk allergy that occurs immediately after consuming milk include:

- Rash with itching of the skin
- Shortness of breath
- Throw up

Signs and symptoms of milk allergy that requires more time to appear include:

- Watery feces, which may contain blood
- Diarrhea
- Cramps in the abdomen
- Cough or shortness of breath
- Runny nose
- Watery eyes
- An itchy skin rash, often around the mouth
- Colic in infants

Milk allergy or milk intolerance (inability to digest milk)?
Important to distinguish between a milk allergy or lactose intolerance to milk. Unlike a milk allergy, intolerance to milk is not associated with the body's immune system. Intolerance to milk causes different symptoms and require different treatment of milk allergy. Common signs and symptoms of intolerance to milk, among others, problems with digestion, such as flatulence or diarrhea, after consuming milk or milk-containing products.

Anaphylaxis
In rare cases, milk allergy can cause anaphylaxis, a life-threatening reaction that can narrow and block the airway. If you or your child has a reaction to milk, tell your doctor about it does not matter even a mild reaction. Checks can help ensure a milk allergy, so you can take steps to avoid a bad reaction in the future. Anaphylaxis is a medical emergency and requires treatment with injectable epinephrine (adrenaline). Signs and symptoms that began after consuming milk include:

- Damage to the respiratory tract, such as swelling of the throat making it difficult to breathe
- Facial sweating
- Itchy
- Surprised, the severe drop in blood pressure

Causes & Risk Factors

Cause

All milk allergies are caused by malfunction of the immune system. Your immune system identifies harmless milk protein for your body, triggering the production of antibody immunoglobulin E (IgE) to neutralize the protein (which is considered as an allergen). Henceforth, if you are in contact with these proteins, these IgE antibodies will see it and send signals to the body's immune system to release histamine and other chemicals. Histamine and other chemicals cause various signs and symptoms. Histamine take a role in many allergic reactions, including runny nose, itchy eyes, sore throat, rash, rash with itching, nausea, diarrhea, shortness of breath, and anaphylaxis.

There are two types of protein in cow's milk can cause allergic reactions:

- Casein, which is found in the milk is frozen solid
- Whey, which is found in the liquid part of milk remaining after milk frozen

You or your child may have an allergy only to a milk protein or both. Protein is not only found in milk, but also in food. In addition, most of those who have a reaction to cow's milk are also allergic to milk sheep, goats and buffaloes. Those who have an allergy to cow's milk can also have an allergy to soy milk.

Risk factors:

Specific factors can bring you to the risk of having a milk allergy, among others:

- Other allergies. Many children with milk allergies also have other allergies. Milk allergy is often first appear.
- Atopic dermatitis. Children with this type of skin reactions are more likely to have food allergies.
- Family history. You are at increased risk for food allergies if one or both of your parents have allergies to food or other allergies.
- Of age. Milk allergy is more common in children. The more you grow older, your digestion will be more mature and more immune your body will react to milk.

Prevention

There is no sure way to prevent food allergy occurs for the first time. But you can prevent signs and symptoms by avoiding foods that cause your allergies. If you know you or your child is allergic to milk, be sure to avoid dairy products. Know what you or your child's eating and drinking. Read food labels carefully.

Some research suggests that breastfeeding for up to four months of age babies can help prevent allergic to milk. In children who have allergies to milk, breast-feeding and the use of hypoallergenic formula (formula made from milk protein enzymes to destroy) can prevent allergic reactions.

Soy allergy symptoms, causes and treatment

Processed soy products is one of the common foods that can cause allergies in children. In many cases soy allergy starts with a reaction to a soy-based infant formula.

Although most children who are allergic to soy at age 3, soy allergy may also occur in adults.

In most cases the signs and symptoms of mild soy allergy. In rare cases, can cause life-threatening allergic to soy allergic reaction (anaphylaxis).

Causes

All food allergies are caused by the reaction of the immune system. The immune system identifies certain soy protein as a hazardous substance, which can trigger the production of antibody immunoglobulin E (IgE) against soy protein (allergen). When he came back to eat soy, IgE antibodies recognize it and give signals to the immune system to release histamine and other chemicals into the bloodstream.

Symptoms

Soy allergy symptoms may include:

- Tingling in the mouth
- Hives, itching or eczema
- Swelling of the lips, face, tongue and throat, or other parts of the body
- Wheezing, runny nose or difficulty breathing
- Abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea or vomiting
- Dizziness, lightheadedness or fainting

Treatment

The only way to prevent allergic reactions is to avoid soy and soy protein at all. Drugs, such as antihistamines, may reduce signs and symptoms of soy allergy. These drugs can dikonsumsil after developing allergies to soy or control the reaction and help relieve the discomfort caused by allergies.

Peanut Allergy Symptoms

Some people have allergies to peanuts. Allergy symptoms can be mild, but can also result in severe to life-threatening.

Here are the signs and symptoms of peanut allergy:

1. The skin reaction

A person who has peanut allergies will experience itching, red rash, eczema, or swelling, and had redness around the mouth and face after eating peanuts.

Skin reaction is one of the most common symptom. Antihistamines can be helpful in treating mild skin reactions, such as hives.

2. Gastrointestinal reactions

Peanut allergies can also cause digestive problems. People with peanut allergies may experience cramps, bloating, vomiting and / or diarrhea after eating peanuts.

3. Breathing problems

Respiratory problems can be mild to severe. Mild respiratory problems include runny nose and congestion, and itchy watery eyes and sneezing.

More severe respiratory symptoms will include coughing and wheezing or shortness of breath. Peanut allergies can also trigger asthma attacks.

4. Anaphylaxis

Anaphylaxis is an allergic reaction to peanut most severe and life-threatening.

Anaphylactic shock can lead to swelling of the mouth, lips and throat as well as the decrease in blood pressure resulting in difficulty breathing and lost consciousness.

If these symptoms occur, immediately contact your health care provider. Your doctor may prescribe epinephrine to reduce complaints.

Other information

There is currently no cure for peanut allergies. The best way to prevent allergies is to avoid nuts altogether.

Some people experience when eating peanut allergies, but others will show an allergic reaction just by eating products that contain peanuts.

Read labels to avoid foods that contain peanuts safe from allergy symptoms.

Shellfish allergy symptoms

Why are people allergic to seafood? If I, shellfish allergy, but other types of seafood although sometimes allergies can still keep attacking.

Shellfish are the type most widely contaminated seafood. I own most rarely eat oysters, unless I was sure that shellfish harvested in the clean sea. Because of that, most often those shellfish poisoning.

There are numerous allergies that individuals may have. One that is becoming more frequent is an allergy to shellfish. This is a type of food allergy that makes it impossible for individuals to consume lobster, prawns, clams, and other types of shellfish and underwater creatures. Certain people have moderate symptoms while others will experience anaphylactic shock - which entails that their air passages will close and they might stop breathing.

Shellfish allergy symptoms

When individuals eat any form of shellfish or a chemical that can also be found in shellfish - such as iodine - they may have moderate to extreme symptoms. The most standard of these are:

Itching
Hives
Skin rash
Swelling of tongue, throat, lips, and other parts of the body
Stomach trouble
Diarrhea
Vomiting
Wheezing
Trouble breathing
Tingling in mouth
Fainting
Dizziness

Causes

If you believe that you have this form food allergy you should speak with your physician straightaway. This allergy is induced when the immune system is not functioning properly. It sees the chemical substances that are contained in this food to be hurtful to the body and are able to begin to make and relinquish antibodies which can really work against our body.

The strongest means to care for shellfish allergy is to avert it entirely. Make sure that you keep away from any kind of shellfish and that nothing you consume has been made with it. Also ensure that the individuals around you recognize what to do if you do have an anaphylactic shock from consuming it. Certain physicians will have you keep special medicine with you to inject into yourself if this should
happen.

Cat allergy symptoms

Though the cat can get people scratching and sneezing, a love of animals on this one conquers all. In fact, cats are the pets most likely to cause allergies than other animals. Can allergies in the cat treated?

A group of scientists from the University of Nottingham found a way to cope with the development of an allergy to cats.

In the study, researchers found that the main agents in the case of an allergy to cats is microscopic particles of their skin. Connect with humans, these particles cause allergic reactions among some people, accompanied by sneezing, runny nose, breathing heavily, and other symptoms.

"To find more effective ways of treatment for this devastating disease, people need to learn how the interaction between allergens and the immune system that causes an allergic reaction," said Dr. Amir Ghaem-Maghami quoted from Genius Beauty, Monday (28/3/2011 ).

Apparently, monosaccharide mannose receptor is among the first cells of the human immune system to contact with allergens. Scientists believe the disease can be treated with their evocative.

Doctors have been studying the mannose receptor activity in their reactions to cat allergen called Fel d 1. As a result, scientists have succeeded in identifying the cellular components that play a key role in the allergic response on the part of the immune system.

The experts stressed that the findings will not only help to combat allergies in the future, but can be used in the treatment of asthma as well.

Cat allergy symptoms

Cat allergy symptoms afflict many people. Sufferers are in real trouble if they happen to own a cat. This might not make sense to the ordinary person but to a cat lover it does. The symptoms may developed long after they have acquired their furry companion so getting rid of the rascal my simply not be an option. So for many cat lovers and owners living with cat allergies is a real problem that they have to live with.

Allergies in general are still not completely understood by the medical community. Inroads have been made but the fact remains that not enough knowledge has been gained on allergies to completely eliminate them. Some of the best experts on allergies in the medical community are themselves allergy sufferers. This in itself has allowed them to make the observations necessary to gain a better understanding of allergy symptoms.

Cat allergy symptoms can manifest themselves in many forms. They can appear singularly or in combination. They can come and go for no apparent reason. So you may have been mistaking your symptoms for a lingering cold and or a sore throat that comes and goes. A rash that sometimes responds to topical treatment and sometimes doesn't. Sneezing fits that you blame on dust or pollen allergies.

Some of the symptoms are clogged and ringing ears. Sneezing fits. Red and watering eyes. Burning eyes. Skin rashes. Cold-like symptoms. Sore throat. Sound familiar? If you are a cat owner and you have these symptoms on a regular basis that you may be suffering from cat allergies. You can however take steps to reduce your suffering and still keep your beloved friend.

Until recently the actual cause of the allergy symptoms was a mystery. People thought they knew but in the end no one really knew for sure what in fact was on the cat that was causing the suffering. Hair?small skin flakes? The cat box? It turns out it is the cats saliva that is the culprit. By licking its hair, which is a cats favorite past time, your cat is spreading the stuff that is the root of your suffering.

The best method of determining if you are suffering from cat allergies is to remove your cat from the house for about two weeks and vacuum and clean anything your cat is in contact with and see if the symptoms disappear or are lessened. Not doing a thorough cleaning defeats the purpose of this test. This is a common test for most allergy sufferers. Remove the suspect material and see if it goes away.

Assuming that you have made a determination that you are in fact suffering from cat allergies then the next question is what to do about it. The easiest and most complete solution short of finding your cat a new home is to make it an outside cat. This might seem like a great sacrifice to yourself but your cat may love it once it has adjusted. A cat door can be installed on a side room or garage so it can still come in from the weather.

Other solutions can be had but they are not as completely as effective as putting your cat outside. Vacuuming and cleaning your house more often helps. It's a lot more work for yourself but the allergen can be removed. Receiving medical treatment for your allergies can be effective if you respond positively to the treatment. Limiting your cats access to your whole house particularly your bedroom is a must.
