Foods That Trigger Migraines

There are several potential triggers that cause migraines such as foods, allergic reaction, loud noises, bright lights, emotional and physical stress, changes in sleep patterns, irregular sleep, exposed to cigarette smoke, skipping meals or fasting, alcohol, irregular periods circulation, the fluctuating hormones during menopause.

Meanwhile migraine symptoms that often occur are:
• Severe pain in half of the head or the whole head.
• Disturbances such as blurred or blurry vision.
• Highly sensitive to light and sound and smells.
• Fatigue, difficulty concentrating.
• The nose can be stuffy.
• Sweating cold.
• Tense and stiff neck
• Dizziness, side of the head becomes red, hot and tender.
• Restlessness.

For those of you who frequently migraine attacked, then there are some foods that should be shunned because it can trigger, such as:
• Preserved or processed and canned meat, like: corned beef, sausages, nuggets, bacon, salted fish.
• Long brooded Cheese
• Alcoholic beverages
• Chocolate
• MSG
• Peanuts and peanut butter
• All spicy snacks

The International Headache Society recommends 'formula 5, 4, 3, 2, 1' to diagnose whether you are affected by migraine, as follow:
• Occur 5 times or more attacks.
• Duration can be 4 hours to 3 days.
• There are at least two areas that experienced unilateral pain, making the situation worse or inhibit the activity.
• At least one additional symptom such as nausea, vomiting, sound and light sensitive.

To diagnose it could do some tests such as electroencephal computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to determine the cause

If there is an attack, try to relax and reduce stress. Immediately entered the room, turn off the lights and all sound sources, compresses the forehead with a cold towel or a bag filled with ice. Never use any supplements before consulting with a doctor or nutritional therapist.
